Summer Camps 2013

We kicked off summer camps this week with Dressage Boot Camp. Campers spent several days working on various dressage excercises and also some fun arts and crafts like tie dyeing. Lessons with dressage guru Eugene Abello made for an exciting culmination of the improvement-packed camp. Everyone learned a lot and had a great time!

May Daze HT

May Daze HT was both a successful and educational show for everyone. Highlights of the show include Maggie and Zoey finishing second on their dressage score and Ireland and Rolos finishing fourth on theirs at BN. Cassie and Wilson finished 3rd on their dressage score, Katie and Artie moved up 4 spots to finish 10th, and Breanna and Owen also finished 10th in their division, all three at Novice. Hanna and Meeno finished on their dressage score to end in 8th place at Starter in their first outing. Steph, Carol, Emily, and Abby all had good learning experiences and we are all looking forward to the next show. Great job everyone, we're very proud of you!

Sayre School CT

Great job at the Sayre School CT! Taylor finished 8th at Novice on Kenny, and 2nd in the starter division on Carpo. Carol and Hank won their BN division and also competed at Novice. Claire and Faith finished 9th at Novice, and Abby and Bang had an educational experience. Congratulations everyone!

River Glen HT

Emily finished second and third with Ramsey and Jupiter, respectively, in the open prelim division, and Taylor and Kenny finished eighth in their novice division at River Glen. It was an educational and successful show. Great job everyone!

Welcome back Crystal! She is back from Wisconsin as the assistant trainer and barn manager.

Area VIII Awards:

USEA Area VIII 2012 Leaderboard results were announced and we would like to congratulate Cassie Lee and Madeline O'Brien on their awards. Cassie was the leading beginner novice young rider, the 6th overall beginner novice rider and her horse Mr. Wilson was the 7th ranked horse. Madeline was the 4th novice young rider in the area. Way to go girls!
